Verification-first onboarding

The app is designed so every profile must pass identity and age verification before it becomes active. The plan is to use a recognised identity provider for government ID and age checks, plus live in-app photo capture so profile photos reflect how people actually look. These checks are planned for launch — they are not available yet while 1:2 is on the wishlist.

Controlled launch access

Access is planned to open in controlled, city-by-city invite waves. Keeping growth gradual gives the team time to operate moderation and safety systems properly instead of racing volume. Wishlist members are first in line when their city opens.

Planned safety features

• In-app reporting and blocking, with a moderation team reviewing reports and appeals.
• Safety logs for real-world meetups, including check-in and share-location options.
• Moderation against off-platform solicitation, social-handle farming, and low-intent spam.
• Anti-catfish design: live-captured photos and verification state shown on profiles.

If you feel unsafe

During the wishlist phase, contact the team through the channels on this site. After launch, the app will provide in-app reporting, blocking, and emergency signposting to UK support services. Emergency services: in the UK call 999 in an emergency, or 101 for non-emergency police.
